The Drugs Control Department deals with the matters relating to Delhi State only, which is also known as National Capital Territory of Delhi.
The licences for manufacturing of Allopathic Drugs/Homoeopathic medicines and also for repacking of Drugs can be granted only in the approved Industrial Areas of Delhi
The licences for manufacturing of cosmetic can be granted only in the approved Industrial Areas of Delhi.
The Approval for Drug Testing Laboratories can be granted only in the approved Industrial Areas of Delhi.
In Delhi, Licence for operating Blood Banks are granted to the Hospitals and also to the SBTC recommended charitable trust / society.
Applicant can obtain user id & password from https://statedrugs.gov.in and can apply for grant of licence using this id and password.
The applicant firm should have an adequate premises with a carpet area of not less than 10 sqr. mtrs. With a minimum height of 2.75 mtr, equipped with proper storage facilities (Including Refrigerator / Cold Storage) for preserving the stability of drugs and require the presence of a Registered pharmacist registered with Delhi Pharmacy Council.
The Applicant firm should have adequate premises with a carpet area of not less than 10 sqr. mtrs. With a minimum height of 2.75 mtr and are in charge of a Competent Person who can be a Registered Pharmacist or passed Matriculation or an intermediate exam with four year’s experience in dealing with Drugs or who holds a degree of a recognized university with one year’s experience in dealing with Drug items.
The minimum required area (carpet area) should be not less than 15 sqr. mtrs. For the grant of Retail and Wholesale Licence.
The minimum height of the premises should be 2.75 mtr.
Licences for the sale of drugs can be granted in any of the commercial premises or other independent premises and in compliance of MPD 2021.
Loan Licence can be granted for manufacture of Drugs / Cosmetics to an applicant, who does not have his own arrangement/ infrastructures for manufacture of drug / cosmetics but who intends to avail of the manufacturing facilities owned by another approved license manufacturer.
A written complaint about doubtful quality of Drugs / Cosmetics can be made to the Drugs Control Department, Govt. of N.C.T. of Delhi, either at F-17, Karkardooma, Shahdara, Delhi-32 or at A-20, Lawrence Road Industrial Area, Delhi- 110035 indicating name and address of the complainant, name and other particulars of the Drug / Cosmetic under doubt and nature of complaint.
